My Favorite Gadgets

MY WORLD OF EVER INCREASISNG GADGETS.

If you’re like me you have a myriad of electronic gadgets in your home, car and wherever else you can put them. There is just something about those little beeps and rings that make us feel important. Like my Computers. I have 3 in my 2 bedroom home. I would put one in the bathroom if my husband would let me.

I first got into computers when I decided to take an at home course many years ago. This was the type of course that sent a computer with it. I passed the course with flying colors then the computer crapped out on me. So I decided to try and fix the thing, boy was that a mistake... I had a good friend at the time that told me how to fix it, I tried my best, but in the end the only thing I had left was the CPU fan hanging from wires inside the tower.

Needless to say I could not live without one after that. So my hubby broke down and bout me my first real (one that worked) computer which was an HP. That thing at the time was sweet. It was super fast and did everything I needed it to do, except the graphics card wasn’t good enough to play my favorite game Diablo which to this day is still my favorite game.

So I decided to buy a more expensive graphics card and try and install it myself. I was sweating the whole time but it actually worked and it really wasn’t that hard. So then I decided to add more memory. That was even easier, as long as I got the correct type of memory. Thank goodness for Technical forums on the internet, otherwise I would have never learned anything. Needless to say over the years I have learned enough to build my own computer, which my daughter now has. I just went and bought an HP laptop which is what I use to do my favorite thing on which is write.

I also just bought a light scribe DVD burner, I just had to have it, I thought it was cool the way is burned any image you wanted directly onto the DVD., it does take a long time to burn the image onto it, but it just looks too cool when it done.

My next and most recent purchase was a Digital Camera with all the bells and whistles. It has 72X zoom takes movies and is just a little bit shy of a SLR (which is what the professional photographers use)
Here is the picture I took of the last full moon we had:

I will post more pictures as I go through them. This is now my second favorite thing to do besides writing. This picture was quite difficult for me only because It is hard to setup a tripod in the dark, I don’t have the steadiest of hands so thus the need for the tripod. I love to take pictures now, and the good thing about Digital camera’s is you don’t have to develop the film, it’s instant.
More on this tomorrow.
